Tiger tail Beaded Earrings

Note: I have made two different size earrings. One with the beads closer together and the other with the beads further apart. You can choose to make which length suits you the best.
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Materials and Tools: 2 x earring hooks gold coloured tiger tail about 9cm - short length x 2 / or 11cm - long length x 2 14 x gold crimps 8 x 4mm glass beads 4 x 4mm glass pearl beads
Flat nose pliers Diagonal wire cutters ruler for measuring
Instructions: 1. Place all materials required in front of you 2. Cut two pieces of desired tiger tail length with your diagonal wire cutters. 3. Bend the tiger tail in half. 4. Slip the tiger tail piece through the earring hook. (Tighten up earring hook loop if need to, using your flat nose pliers). 5. Place a crimp through both pieces of tiger tail up to the earring hook and squish crimp using flat nose pliers.

6. Add a glass bead onto one side of tigertail, close to the crimp near the earring hook loop. Add crimp and squish. 7. Add a glass pearl bead onto the other piece of tiger tail so that the glass pearl just comes under the crimp and glass bead from the other piece of tiger tail. Add a crimp under the glass pearl and squish. 8. Add another glass bead onto the first piece of tigertail. Add a crimp, squish so the glass bead sits just under the crimp and glass pearl. Continue adding the other beads onto the tiger tail pieces until you have 3 beads on each piece of tigertail. Repeat the same pattern for the other earring. 9. When finished cut excess tiger tail after the last crimp used. 10. If you want to make your set of earrings longer, simply cut a longer piece of tigertail and add more beads. Use the ruler if you want to make the beads further apart for more accurate measurement. 11. When completed, one of the tiger tail lengths on each earring will be longer than the other - thus giving the zig zag effect. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chocolate Glass Beaded - Butterfly Earrings
Level: Beginner
Note: Any size or shape or colour of beads can be used.
Materials and Tools: 2 x glass beads ( any beads will do ) 4 x silver plated bead spacers 2 x silver plated headpins - 50mm 2 x silver plated earring hooks 2 x antique silver butterflies
Flat nose pliers Long nose pliers Diagonal wire cutters
1. Place all materials and tools in front of you. 2.Thread onto each headpin the following *silver plated bead spacer *glass bead *silver plated bead spacer *butterfly

3. Bend the headpin at 90 degrees using your long nose pliers. Cut wire to about 1cm in length from the bend using wire cutters.

4. Using your long nose pliers, grasp onto the end of the wire (end of wire is facing towards you) and turn the pliers away from your body to form a loop. Use your flat nose pliers to manouvre the wire so it makes a complete closed loop.
NOTE: If you want a small loop grasp the wire closer to the edge with your long nose pliers. The further away from the point end of the pliers will give you a larger loop. Practice a few times to see how big you would like your loop to be. I usually hold mine about 1/4 to 1/2 half along the pliers to make a loop.

5. Open the earring hook and attach onto loop.

6. You have now created yourself a pair of fashion earrings.
